Our services to photographers include:
Our scanner is the revolutionary Imacon Progression III (a glass-free 2-in-1 transparency and reflective A3+ scanner), featuring innovative 'Flextight' scanning technology with the ability to scan film, negatives or prints up to 13" x 19" in size. We can scan film up to 7" x 5" on the 'virtual drum' and up to 13" x 19" on the flatbed. The scanned image can then be corrected for colour, brightness and contrast to your preference, text can be added etc.
Once scanned, your images can be archived to CD, and are then preserved from damage. The files can be saved in different file sizes depending on requirements:
After your images are scanned, they can be printed by us using our archival inks on glossy or lustre photo papers or a choice of various art papers ranging from 100% cotton rag or Alpha Cellulose to artists' canvas. Digital files prepared for printing are stored at Innovative Imaging Studio for future reprints.
You decide whether you will chose to produce limited or open editions, and as the file is kept stored digitally at Innovative Imaging Studios, reprints can be ordered over the telephone. There is no need for you to keep large stocks of inventory.
Our specialist black and white printing service produces neutral black & white or toned images with deep rich blacks and excellent shadow detail. Prints can be issued in open or limited editions as the photographer choses and since the digital file is kept here, prints can be made to order as needed.
We specialise in the conversion of your images to black and white (if you prefer to leave this to us) and we will work with you to chose a toning that converts your chosen image into a striking print on your chosen media. Prints can be toned from completely neutral to warm sepia and rose shades through cool selenium and moss/green.
A colour image can also be printed in black and white with a subtle tinting, as seen in the wedding photograph to the right. The print has the appearance of one that has been hand-tinted and is very effective.
Using the ink combination that will make the most of your edition, we print on a wide choice of 100% cotton rag or cellulose based Watercolour or Canvas or Photographic media, according to your choice.
We are happy to work with digital files sent to us by photographers anywhere in the world. We can help you to view your image in Photoshop on your calibrated monitor as it will look printed on the medium of your choice ("soft-proof"). You can then adjust contrast and saturation as you wish. You then ftp this file to our site (with our assistance) and sit back and wait for the print to be delivered to your door by courrier.
We also can advise artists on framing and handling of giclée prints. There may be a charge for colour correction of digital files, depending on the your requirements.
